How it works
Type your data
Open section 2 of your supplier's safety data sheet. Copy the signal word, pictograms, H- and P-statements, and the substance names into the form. Add your business name, address and phone number.
Choose the label size
Pick the package capacity and the label size. The tool uses the minimum text size for that package. It warns you when the text does not fit.
Print the PDF
Pick a language and download the PDF. Print an A4 sheet with as many labels as fit, or one label per page for a label printer.

Questions
Does the tool check that my label is legal?
No. You stay responsible for your label and your product. The tool does not classify your product and does not check if it is legal. It puts the official phrase texts and the data from your safety data sheet on the label. It does not give legal advice. If you are not sure, ask your supplier or an expert.
Can I use it for soap or cosmetics?
No. EU law treats soap as a cosmetic product. The CLP Regulation does not apply to finished cosmetic products, so they need a different label. The tool is for candles, wax melts, reed diffusers and room sprays only.
Which languages can I use?
All 24 official EU languages. In the free version, each label has one language. You can make as many labels as you like, so you can make one label for each country. The tool itself is in English for now.
Is my data stored?
Only in your browser. There is no account. The tool makes the PDF in your browser, so your product data does not leave your computer. Saved products stay in this browser only. If you clear your browser data, they are gone.
Which suppliers does it work with?
Any supplier. You type the data from your safety data sheet, so you are not tied to one supplier.
Is it really free?
Yes. The free version has no time limit and no label limit. A4 sheets have a small "Made with makerlabelkit.com" line in the margin of the sheet, not on the label. Pro adds more than one language on one label. Pro is not on sale yet.
I sell in the UK. Can I use it?
Yes, you can use the tool. It uses the EU phrase texts. Check the rules that apply in Great Britain and Northern Ireland for your products.
